Firemaster Board 607 has
been specially developed to provide both cellulosic
and hydrocarbon standard fire protection in
applications where a rigid product is required.
Two different grades of Board are available
giving maximum versatility in use.
Firemaster 350 Board
Made exclusively from 607
fibres, refractory fillers and a small amount
of organic binders, this board is recommended
for fire protection applications where light
weight, rigid panels are required. Firemaster
350 Board is available in thickness up to 50mm,
is easy to cut and can be glued onto substrates
for fast installation. The board is an excellent
thermal insulator and is an ideal replacement
for high-density mineral wool saving weight
and space.
Firemaster 550 Board
Made exclusively from 607
fibres, refractory fillers and selected binders,
this board is recommended for fire protection
of structural elements where high strength
and good machinable properties are required.
Firemaster 550 Board is available in large
panel sizes and has good screw holding strength
making it ideal for the construction of walls,
ceilings and partition systems. Firemaster
550 Board has advantages of lower weight and
lower thermal conductivity than calcium silicate
boards together with the benefit of being water
repellent. In addition, Firemaster 550 Board
has low dust emission during cutting operations.
Health Aspects Summary
Firemaster 607 was designed
for enhanced solubility in lung tissues. Rats
have been exposed 6 hours a day, 5 days a week
during 2 years at an average concentration
of 200 F/ml (about 200 to 300 times higher
than the concentration found in production
plants) without showing any significant increase
in lung tumours or fibrosis.
Fire Protection Properties
Firemaster 350 Board is non
combustible to IMO A 472(12) 1984 Method.
Firemaster 550 Board has
low flame spread properties.
